How to Start a SAP Server
You start or stop the SAP system with the 
Microsoft Management Console (MMC). With a newly installed MMC, you only start or stop installed SAP instances locally on the host that you are logged on to. If the MMC is configured for central system administration, you can start or stop the entire SAP system from a single host.
